Maryland’s  Child Support Enforcement Administration seeks to make sure that the children of divorced or separated parents receive the financial support from each of their parents that they are owed.   State law sets forth the conditions and parameters for issuing child support orders.  Those conditions and parameters take into account the income of both parents, the expenses that each parent is responsible for, including child care expenses and health insurance premiums.  In addition, the State of Maryland takes into account the amount of time spent with each parent.
