The State of Minnesota Child Support laws set forth the parameters and conditions of implementing a child support order to support children. The laws take into effect the income of each parent, the costs of child care and medical care and education as well as certain expenses incurred by parents. The laws also provide for enforcement of child support orders which may include wage withholding, tax refund intercept and licenses suspension in the event a parent ordered to pay fails to pay.
