The Wisconsin Child Support Calculator is a worksheet which parents can use to estimate the amount of child support they may end up paying. The amount may be different from the actual order based on certain circumstances. It is based on percentage of income analysis.

How to Calculate

Step 1: Download worksheet.

Step 2: Enter the following income information:

  • Enter annual income from all sources.
  •  subtract the amount of public assistance received.
  • subtract the amount of child support received to obtain gross income

Step 3: Enter modification information if you are self employed

Step 4: The court may impute income from certain assets – enter information about assets in the next section.

Step 5: Divide the gross income amount in line by 12. This is the monthly income available for child support

Step 6: Multiply by the appropriate percentage from the following table:
One child 17%
Two children 25%
Three children 29%
Four children 31%
Five children 34%
