North Dakota Child Support Enforcement

By Child-Support.com Staff – Last updated

In order to enforce child support payments in North Dakota a parent or custodian not receiving payments due from the non custodial parent can contact the Child Support Services. CSS may be able to locate and reach out to the non custodial parent and, if necessary, initiate child support enforcement tools to obtain the funds.

How to File a Complaint

In North Dakota, if a child support order is in place, a parent must pay the support set forth in the order or be subject to enforcement remedies.  North Dakota has the authority to enforce child support orders from other states under the Uniform Interstate Family Support Act.  Payments must be made in accordance with the order that was either issued or agreed upon by both parents.

A parent can seek enforcement services from CSE by filling out an application and providing as much information as possible about the circumstances of the case, including a physical description of the non-custodial parent.
