In order to enforce child support payments in Mississippi<\/strong>, a parent may be able to get assistance from the Department of Human Services Division of Field Operations. \u00a0In order to obtain assistance, a parent must provide information to the Division of Field Operations so that they can make a determination as to what, if anything they can do to enforce the order.<\/p>\n

How to File a Complaint<\/h2>\n

In Mississippi, parents are obligated to\u00a0pay child support in accordance with any\u00a0child support order issued by any state in the United States.\u00a0Child support orders can be\u00a0enforced across state lines. When a parent fails to pay, Division of Field Operations may be able to\u00a0take actions to make sure those payments are made.<\/p>\n

A parent seeking enforcement first needs to fill out an application with the Department of Human Services Division of Field Operations to provide information about the order, the non-paying parent and the children.<\/p>\n
