If a parent needs to enforce child support payments in Vermont<\/strong>\u00a0against a parent who is not paying child support as ordered, he or she may be able to\u00a0contact the Office of Child Support. The Office of Child Support may be able to contact the other parent and, if warranted, automatically deduct funds from their weekly, bi-weekly or monthly wages.<\/p>\n

How to File a Complaint<\/h2>\n

In Vermont, a parent is required to\u00a0pay child support as set forth in the child support order, even if the child support order was issued in another state.\u00a0Child support orders are enforced across state lines by the Uniform Interstate Family Support Act.<\/p>\n

In order to obtain enforcement services from the Office of Child Support, a person seeking payment must fill out an application and submit it with all requisite documents, including copies of any existing orders to the following address:<\/p>\n
