In New Mexico, the child support laws and guidelines set forth the parameters for establishing and implementing a child support order.  Factors used by the courts and CSED include the incomes of each parent, expenses such as health care and child care and other considerations.  Both parents are expected to contribute to the financial support of their children to the extent possible whether they live with the child or not.
