New York Child Support | NY Division of Child Support Enforcement (DCSE)

The New York Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance Division of Child Support Enforcement helps divorced, separated or never married parents to uphold their obligation to financially support their children. The DCSE program offers several different services including helping to establish paternity of a child if it is in question, locate missing non-paying parents, enforcing existing child support orders, helping to modify orders if circumstances have changed. In addition, DCSE provides online services so that parents can access their child support account and make payments.

In New York a person receiving services from the Division of Child Support Enforcement or making child support payments to DCSE, can create a login and access their account online. New York Child Support Calculator | Guidelines

The New York Child Support calculator is a worksheet you can use to estimate the amount of child support you may owe (or may be owed).  The amount you come up with will just be an estimate – the court may come up with a different amount based on your particular circumstances. New York Child Support Enforcement

In order to enforce child support payments in New York a Mom or Dad wh0 is not receiving payments he or she is due from the other parent, may contact the Division of Child Support Enforcement (DCSE) in order to initiate an action to enforce the child support order.  Using the information provided by the parent not receiving payments, DCSE has the authority to use certain tools to obtain the amount owed from the non-paying parent. New York Child Support Laws | Titles 6-A and 6-B of the New York State Social Services Law

The New York State laws pertaining to child support set forth the authority given to the Division of Child Support Enforcement to enforce child support orders. In addition to enforcing orders, the laws directs the division to set up a registry to keep records of child support cases and to keep track of payments and child support arrears (money owed).
