The State of Montana Child Support Enforcement Division of the Department of Public Health and Human Services, seeks to ensure that children on divorced, separated or never married parents receive the financial support to which they are entitled. The tools used include online resources, enforcement powers and public dissemination of information about obligations. The CSED has the power to garnish wages, intercept tax refunds and place liens on property of non-paying parents. The CSED can also establish and modify child support orders.
