The State of Michigan Department of Health and Human Services Office of Child Support assists divorced or separated parents in the financial support of their children. In the event that a parent is missing or paternity has not been determined, the Office of Child Support can assist in locating a parent or establishing paternity. The Office of Child Support can also force a non-paying parent to pay his or her obligation through wage withholding or tax intercept or other means. In addition, the Office of Child Support offers online child support tools where a parent can track a child support account or apply for services or make a payment.
