The Connecticut Bureau of Child Support Enforcement (BCSE) provides a broad range of services for parents who are seeking to establish, enforce or make payments on child support orders. The Bureau of Child Support Enforcement, in addition to enforcing existing orders, will assist with establishing paternity for children born out of wedlock, locate an absent parent and create or modify child support obligations based on income factors of the parents and current obligations. The BCSE also provides a clearinghouse for collecting payments and distributing them to the custodial parent.

Connecticut Child Support Calculator – Guidelines

The Connecticut Child Support Calculator sets forth a method by which you can calculate a child support obligation based on a formula and schedule specified in Connecticut statutes and outlined in a child support pamphlet prepared by the State of Connecticut. The amount you calculate will just be an estimate.  The actual amount ordered by the court may be higher or lower depending on your specific circumstances. Connecticut Child Support Enforcement

Support Enforcement Services (SES) is part of the Judicial Branch, Court Operations Division. There are multiple services offered to assist in a custodial parent’s need to enforce child support orders. All personal information as well as any court documents will be needed to apply for enforcement assistance. The Connecticut Child Support statutes set forth the parameters for requiring a parent to pay child support.  Parents are obligated under the law to maintain support for their minor children after a legal separation or divorce according to their ability to pay. A parent is required to support the child financially until the child reaches 18.
