In the State of Idaho, the Department of Health and Welfare oversees Idaho’s child support services. The Department of Health and Welfare helps divorced and separated parents to financially support their children through enforcing or modifying existing child support orders, establishing new child support orders and collecting and distributing child support payments. Child support services follows the Idaho Child Support Guidelines to establish the amount of child support owed by a parent.

The Guidelines set forth the method of calculating child support requirements for each child and they are based on a number of factors including each parent’s income, costs and other adjustments. Idaho Child Support Enforcement

In order to enforce child support payments in Idaho, a parent or caretaker may contact the Department of Health and Welfare Child Support Services and fill out an application.
