The Alabama child support laws are part of the Uniform Child Custody Jurisdiction and Enforcement Act ( § 30-3B-101 to 30-3B-405 – UCCJEA) which is adopted by most States. The law covers payments from one spouse to another in addition to the custody of the children after a marriage has ended. The law should be viewed as a guideline as every judge, during the review of any separation of divorce, will look at all the facets of the marriage when making their decision.
