Iowa Code 598.21B, sets forth the parameters and conditions for the imposition and calculation of a child support order. The court takes into account a number of factors when determining which parent should be obligated to pay and how much they should pay. These factors include the income of each parent, the time spent with the children, i.e. who has primary custody, and costs of child care and healthcare for the children.
