In Idaho, the Rules of Family Law Procedure set forth the guidelines for child support orders.  The guidelines take into account factors that effect the standard of living of the children including the income of the parents, the costs of child care and education expenses and health insurance coverage.  The guidelines are used by Child Support Services to evaluate each parent’s circumstances and the needs of the children in order to determine the amounts each parent should contribute to the financial support of their children.
