The State of Illinois provides online services for both custodial parents and non custodial parents in order to make it easier for them to apply for child support services and pay their child support obligation. One of the online services provides information on your child support matter. The other online service allows you to make your child support payments online.
How to Login
Step 1: Go to the Illinois Health Care and Family Services
Step 2: Enter your RIN (DCSS Recipient Identification Number which can be found on mailings from DCSS)
Step 3: Enter your PIN
Step 4: Click “Login”
- If you forgot your RIN, Click “Forgot RIN” and you will be brought to a page where you enter your social security number and your email address.
- If you forgot your PIN, click “Forgot PIN” and you will be brought to this page where you enter your RIN and your email address.
How to Enroll
Step 1: In order to enroll in Illinois child support online services, go to the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services website
Step 2: Enter the following information and click “save”
- RIN
- SSN
- Email address
- Re-type email address
- Choose a security question
- Answer security question.
How to Make a Payment
You can either mail your payment to the following address specifying identifying information:

How to Apply for Child Support
If you need child support, you may apply by calling the Child Support Customer Service Call Center at 1 (800) 447-4278 or by filling out an application and bringing it in to your local regional office.
